Institute for Technology Transfer at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences

The particular strength of htw saar, the Saarland University of Applied Sciences, lies in the transfer of research, knowledge and competence to the region – accelerating the innovative capacity and competitiveness of local companies. FITT gGmbh, the Institute for Technology Transfer, is the active cooperation partner for these companies.

FITT gGmbH, with its projects, many of which are in the field of logistics, has been very successful in its task, especially in comparison to its international counterparts. The participating companies appreciate the competitive edge that the cooperation with htw saar and FITT provides. FITT currently conducts about 80 large and small R&D projects with the involvement of 90 employees. In most cases, the scientific project supervision lies with the professors at htw saar.

In addition, FITT gGmbH is responsible for the counselling and coaching of start-up entrepreneurs at htw saar. Logistics oftentimes plays a central role for these spin-offs.
