Master in Business Administration and Engineering

Emphasis Sustainable Logistics Management

The Masters course in Business Administration and Engineering allows graduates with a Bachelor or Diploma degree or similar economics/technical qualification to achieve a professional scientific Masters degree (M. Sc.) in the following two areas:

  • Sustainable Logistics Management
  • Business Management in Utility and Waste Management

Course Details

This practical course takes 4 semesters and paves the way for access to the higher echelons of German public service and further doctoral studies.

The Masters course in Business Administration and Engineering is designed to deepen knowledge within the two areas mentioned above. Graduates are able to independently find and implement solutions for problematic areas that were previously unknown; above all they are developers.

The Masters course in Business Administration and Engineering is an inter-disciplinary course and covers mathematics, natural and industrial engineering and economics and includes supplementary modules such as law and communication. Even though scientific, technical and economic components are given roughly equal weight, an average of nine out of ten graduates end up in business positions.

Extracts from the Curriculum

Graduates should be able to analyze intra- and inter-company logistic processes, recognize weak points and optimization potential as well as design process-oriented holistic and sustainable logistics chains. Graduates are taught procedures, methods and data processing techniques to design process-oriented companies. They also learn to tackle logistics issues in complex added-value chains. The following areas (amongst others) are covered in detail: supply chain management, recycling and waste logistics, distribution and transport logistics, and supplier relationship management.
